What is the American Friends of All Saints’, Margaret Street all about?
The American Friends exists to enable better connection, support and fellowship between the parish of All Saints, Margaret Street, London, and our North American friends and supporters.
It aims to deepen the bonds of friendship and fellowship across the Atlantic, foster prayer for the life and mission of All Saints’, and make financial support of All Saints’ easier and more tax efficient for American taxpayers.
What does being a member of the American Friends of All Saints’ involve?
The American Friends of All Saints’ are requested to pray each day for the life, work and mission of All Saints’, Margaret Street. As part of this commitment of prayer, they are, in turn, remembered by name each month at the 12 noon Mass in Margaret Street.
The American Friends of All Saints’ hold an in person event somewhere in the continental United States once every two years. In between those physical meetings, there are online events connecting the life of our parish in London with our supporters across the United States.
What do I receive as a member of the American Friends of All Saints’?
All members of the American Friends of All Saints’ each receive by post, twice a year, The Parish Paper, the biannual journal of the Friends of All Saints’, containing information, news and updates about the life of the parish.
You can join the American Friends of All Saints’ at three levels.
- Benefactors – the entry tier of the American Friends of All Saints’ involves pledging to give at least $10 a month or $120 a year to All Saints’.
- Patrons – the second tier of membership of the American Friends is known as the “Patrons” of All Saints’, Margaret Street, and includes those who give at least $1,500 a year. Patrons’ are invited to special events organised for them when in-person gatherings take place in America and the UK. They are also given a complimentary ticket to all fund-raising functions organised by the American Friends of All Saints’.
- Partners – the third tier of the American Friends exists to recognise and celebrate exceptional generosity and sacrificial giving to the Friends Scheme. Membership of this category is open to people who contribute at least $3,000 per year to the Friends. “Partners” of All Saints’ are personally thanked for their generosity by being invited to VIP events organised specifically for Partners when All Saints’ holds in person meetings in the United States and in the United Kingdom. Partners are given two complimentary tickets to any fund-raising event organised by the American Friends of All Saints’. They and their guests are invited be in touch with the Vicar whenever they visit London so that he can meet with them and organise appropriate hospitality.
How do I join the American Friends of All Saints’, Margaret Street?
It is now possible to give to All Saints’ in the U.S. and claim that donation as a deduction against tax in the United States via a scheme run by the firm Chapel and York.

It is as simple at that. You should then receive a receipt from Chapel and York which allows you to claim tax back on your donation in the US.
Any charitable donation given to the All Saints’ Margaret Street fund at Chapel and York can be claimed back as a tax deduction in the US. The donation is then paid on to All Saints’ in sterling by Chapel and York.
